“The art piece I chose was a handmade mask. I chose this mask for this reflection because it represents our current situation during this COVID 19 pandemic. Face masks was in such a high demand in the healthcare setting and with the public. With the general public, face masks have become a commodity that it is frequently low in stock and high in price. For people who cannot acquire face masks, they resorted to other ways of making their own or getting it from another source. I have seen many people making their own, demonstrating adaptability and resilience. Thus, I choose to make my own too for this reflection. This is because willingness to adapt and be resilient in situations we are facing right now is crucial as healthcare workers.

The aesthetic reflection demonstrates how we must be resilient in the changes to our settings, utilizing the resources we have and continue to advance with it. In education, we must adapt to the changes and utilize the available support and resources from the school to continue our program and succeed. In practice, we must also be resilient and utilize the limited resources that was available in order to provide care and ensure the safety of others and ourselves.”
